This second webinar of the launch series will host a conversation with Nadia Lambiase from Circular Market and Søren Hermansen from Energi Akademiet. The speakers will present case studies of their two organisations, one based in southern Europe (Circular Market, from Italy), the other in northern Europe (Energy Academy, from Denmark) and the ideas behind them.

The webinar will explore the North-South perspectives on sustaining the green transition in Europe. The speakers will discuss topics such as challenges and opportunities related to green skilling, in particular for adult learners and organisations, and how ICT solutions can enable green jobs creation and foster market competitiveness.

Nadia Lambiase, CEO of Mercato Circolare (Circular Market) will introduce the start-up she founded in 2018. She will detail the innovative practices she and her team developed to foster circular economy skills among adult learners and digital solutions they developed to enable collaborations and business exchanges within the Italian circular economy market.

Søren Hermansen is the director of Samsø Energy Academy, a project-based organisation which provides education and research, and consultancy services to companies, including courses, meetings, seminars, and exhibitions about energy, climate change, and sustainable resources. Søren will explain how his organisation is committed to fostering zero-waste and carbon-neutral communities

The webinar will highlight how green-skills development, of both individual businesses and at the broader community level, contribute to wider systemic change. Audiences will gain insights into how different approaches to green-skilling in two regions contribute to empowering people, businesses and communities, and also foster market growth and climate resilience.
